Arthur Brouns is a composer, arranger, and music producer known for blending electronic and orchestral elements in his work for film, theatre, and dance.
Recently, Arthur crafted the scores for projects such as the "Believe" series, which follows the Belgian Red Devils, Wim Vandekeybus' "Blood Wedding" for the International Theater of Amsterdam, and "Infamous Offspring," co-created with Warren Ellis. He also composed the music for the Netflix series "Encounters." In "Blood Wedding," Arthur collaborated with the internationally renowned vocal group Eva Quartet of The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices, composing both the music and lyrics.
Arthur began his career at seventeen, performing at major events like Tomorrowland and Dimensions Festival. He has worked with esteemed orchestras such as the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and the Brussels Philharmonic. His portfolio includes work for high-profile clients like Netflix, BBC, M6, and Nike, showcasing his versatility as a composer.
In addition to his solo work, Arthur leads his own ensemble, Cortex Ensemble, which is dedicated to performing concerts and recording music for films. This ensemble allows him to further explore and refine his musical style, aspiring to bring a unique and innovative sound to both live performances and film scores.
Beyond his composing and performing roles, Arthur is also the course leader at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, where he teaches Music Technology. Furthermore, he serves as a score supervisor for award-winning films such as "The Green Border," and others.
